ENVIRONMENTAL GEOGRAPHY SPECIALISM: GEOGRAPHICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL SYSTEMS

This specialism trains students in the fields of socio-environmental systems, i.e. composite objects based on natural and anthropogenic elements whose functioning and spatio-temporal dynamism are generally linked to social aspects.

 

The environment is conceived in a general sense, like all physical and anthropogenic factors which are involved and contribute to the dynamism of the studied system.

 

This means that it is important to understand the functioning of geographical space through a systematic analysis linking naturalist and social approaches, and study the processes, the different states of the systems andtheir temporal trajectories in view of sustainable development.

 

THE AIMS

  • To train specialists inenvironmental geography.
