Housing, transport, catering and health

ENGEES has signed agreements with several university residences, and so the school can book rooms for certain students. International students studying in France under partnership agreements with ENGEES have priority, but individual applicants and trainees in our research units can also apply for this service.

For one-off accommodation in Strasbourg (one week maximum), ENGEES students, candidates or lecturers can take advantage of negotiated rates at The people hostel. This means that engineering candidates can find temporary accommodation for their orals. Students can also take advantage of this service to find their permanent accommodation. 

There is a short-term accommodation option in Strasbourg for students (1 week - rooms for 1 to 8 people) with negotiated rates for justified trips to ENGEES.

Strasbourg is THE city for bikes. To find your own bike, there are several bike fairs in Strasbourg, second-hand shops and of course the internet. Otherwise, the city offers self-service bike rental “Vélhop” for 40 euros per year. The school, in the city centre, is also well served by bus and tram. The “Gallia” tram stop is the nearest stop to the school.

ENGEES is close to the university canteens (“Resto U’” in French) which are accessible to the school’s students with the student card and at attractive rates. Students benefit from the CROUS service which offers a student menu subsidised by the State, consisting in a starter, a main course and a dessert at a very reasonable price.

The school has also cafeteria equipped with microwave, coffee machines and vending machines.

STUDENT HEALTH SERVICE

As ENGEES students, you have free access to the various medical and psychological consultations offered by the UNISTRA Student Health Service. The medical team is at your disposal for any advice or health problems you may have, and to help you carry out your studies in the best possible physical, mental and social conditions.

RESCUE Relay Students

If you're experiencing difficulties, are concerned about a particular issue or would like confidential help with a problem (academic, family, social, emotional, psychological, stress, orientation, etc.), every year an ENGEES student is recruited as part of the Student Support Team (étudiants relais Rescue) to listen to you, whatever your concern.
