The training year is divided into two distinct parts:
- Theoretical and practical courses from mid-September to the end of March (around 500 hours, half of which are common to both options, either face-to-face or via synchronized videoconferencing).
Classes include lectures, tutorials, practical work, visits and, above all, technical projects. These projects are led by one or more professionals specializing in the field. They punctuate certain teaching units. With a total of 94 hours of classroom time, these projects are based on the resolution of real, existing and complex problems. They are organized into five successive compact teaching units.
- A 6-month internship, from April 1 to September 30.
The internship (6 months-approximately 800 hours) is an integral part of the program. It takes place in a company chosen by the student in agreement with ENGEES or Les Mines de Nancy, depending on the option. It culminates in the writing of a thesis in line with the trainee's tasks (and professional project), and is defended before a jury.
Training validation
Validation takes various forms:
- For each teaching unit: one or two examinations/practical work graded on fundamental knowledge and for certain teaching unit a dissertation (+ defense) for projects.
- Dissertation and dissertation viva for the end-of-studies internship
- The diploma is awarded according to the jury's conclusions.
